Jonne Soininen, Head of Open Source & Technology Vision, is responsible for Nokia’s Technology Vision and Open Source initiatives, among other activities. Before this position, he held various roles at Nokia, Nokia Siemens Networks, Renesas Mobile, and Broadcom, and has an extensive background in telecommunications and software engineering spanning over 25 years. He has served in several external roles, such as on the Board of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN), and he is currently a board member of the Linux Foundation Networking.

Jonne holds a Doctor of Science (Technology) degree from the School of Electrical Engineering at Aalto University, Finland, with a focus on networking, as well as a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki.
