Abstract: FR3 (7.125–24.25 GHz) is emerging as the “golden band” for 6G, offering an optimal balance between coverage and capacity. Regulatory bodies, including the ITU, are evaluating FR3 for cellular communications alongside existing incumbents such as satellite communications and fixed wireless access. Meanwhile, 3GPP has begun refining parameters for FR3. Advancing research in FR3 requires comprehensive end-to-end testbeds for dynamic spectrum-sharing validation, coexistence studies, and interference analysis. In this webinar, discover how the OAI stack is uniquely positioned to support researchers and developers in accelerating 6G innovation in FR3, shaping future standards and regulatory frameworks.

Paulo Marques founded Allbesmart Lda, which was established in 2015. He holds a PhD and is a Professor of Wireless Communications at the Polytechnic University of Castelo Branco in Portugal.

Tiago Alves is the Chief Software Architect at Allbesmart. He leads the development of the OAIBOX product line as the top fully open source platform to enable 5G/6G test network deployment for research and education based on OpenAirInterface.

Luís Pereira is a recognized expert in OpenAirInterface. He is Chief of 5G/6G R&D at Allbesmart Lda. Luis leads the first team in the world to demonstrate a stable 5G SA connection that can reach 800 Mbps with an end-to-end OAI stack.
