Karim Boutiba
Software Engineer
Karim Boutiba is a computer science engineer and researcher with expertise in 5G and emerging 6G technologies. He earned his PhD in Telecommunication Systems from Sorbonne University, Paris, in 2024, and previously obtained an engineering degree in Computer Science from the École Nationale Supérieure d’Informatique (Algiers) in 2020.

Before joining OpenAirInterface (OAI), Karim worked as a Research Engineer at EURECOM, where he contributed to cutting-edge research in wireless communication systems. His work involved collaboration on national and European projects, focusing on advancing open and flexible network architectures and promoting the OAI platform as a key enabler.

At OAI, he contributes to the development and evolution of the platform toward 6G, including software engineering, testing, and integration of advanced features.
