After his Ph.D at TelecomParis Tech in 1997, he has been with the Information Systems Laboratory, Stanford University, a founding engineer of Iospan Wireless Inc, San Jose, CA., a world pioneer for MIMO-OFDM, and with the University. Oslo.

He has published about 250 papers and 20+ patents in the area of communications systems. He was recently named a Thomson-Reuters Highly Cited Researcher in Computer Science. Since 2015, he has held an ERC Advanced grant on “Smart Device Communications.
