GETTING STARTED

The OAI code is free to download and use, you do not need to sign any license agreement or create an account.

  • 1. INSTALLATION

    Read the introduction of OpenAirInterfaceTM (OAI) here.

    Decide the appropriate HW Configuration/SW Configuration that meets the requirements.

    Download and install the latest version of OAI software (see wiki).

  • 2. DEPLOYMENT

    We provide several tutorials that allow you to setup the software in real-time/emulation or simulation mode.

  • 3. GETTING HELP

    There are many sources of help in OAI Community.

    Mailing list is a great place to discuss ideas

    Open bugs and feature requests in Gitlab

  • 4. CONTRIBUTE

CONTRIBUTE

Here are the steps to contribute to the OAI software solution, including new features and bug-fixes.

You will need to sign our license agreement and create an account.

  • 1. AGREEMENT

     

     

    • Please use a valid student or professional email address (do not use yahoo.com, gmail.com, qq.com or any public domain name)

     

    • We shall come back to you shortly.

  • 2. ACCOUNTS

    • When your email address has been validated and confirmed by our team, you can create an account on Eurecom GITLAB for RAN project (or GITHUB for Core Network project) using the REGISTER tab.

     

    • Choose a USERNAME and PASSWORD.

     

    • Provide us with the username, we will grant you write access shortly.

  • 3. DOCUMENTATION

    If you wish to contribute to the OAI documentation on GITLAB wiki or GITHUB wiki, then please email  contact@openairinterface.org to request for account access.

  • 4. GUIDELINES

    Follow the branch creation, coding guidelines, and merge workflow  here.

  • 5. MEETINGS

    Developers’ meetings are held weekly by WEBEX to track progress of OAI code development.
