June 20-22, 2018, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications
10 Xitucheng Rd, BeiTaiPingZhuang, Haidian Qu, Beijing Shi, China, 100876

The 5th OAI Workshop was a testimony to the growth of the OpenAirInterface community in the Asian region. We would like to extend our thanks to our speakers for enabling the great success of this event. The 5th OAI Workshop was held in the historical city of Beijing and was hosted by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (a big thanks to our hosts Professors Zhaoming LU, Luhan WANG). The event showcased some of the projects OSA partners in the Asian region are involved in and covered all areas ranging from OpenAirInterface use-cases, to commercial applications, Core Network, RAN and the UE. The event further gave us the opportunity of highlighting the vision of OSA and pathway to meet the goals. We believe evolution of the Telecom Industry in  2018 will further validate our vision of Facilitating OAI Adoption as tool for prototyping, end to end testing, basis for productization, as well as a tool supporting standardization.

We thank our delegates for the quality of their engagement and look forward to making major adjustments in near future to incorporate valuable feedback the community provided during the workshop.

Stay tuned! The OAI Team
